MEET THE ARTISAN BEHIND FUGA RUSTIC

Based along the coast of the New Forest, where intrigued clients can moor up for private viewings and meet designer and fabricator Greg Harper, who hand crafts his artisan furniture.

Greg combines traditional methods with his own unique style. Keeping true to the natural oak, feeling and following the contours of each piece of wood.

“Some of our oak is over 300 years old! It is incredible to think of what these mighty oaks have seen throughout history and we feel very privileged to give them a new lease of life. That’s what makes it so special to me. Creating a piece which has such a natural value.

I can get lost for hours crafting an idea and not knowing where it will take me. When I then add a copper or metal section, the two forge together to create a truly organic feel, which just seems to perfectly fit in with the surroundings around me here.

Bringing such tactile pieces into a home, links you to the outdoors somehow and you can't help but feel what FUGA stands for…the ability to escape, create and renew.”

FUGA RUSTIC is a bespoke furniture brand dedicated to creating handcrafted pieces that celebrate natural materials and timeless craftsmanship inspired by organic design.

  • We are passionate about using storm-blown oak wherever we can.

    Throughout the creation and fabrication process, no harsh chemicals are used. Sustainable, natural products such as linseed oil and beeswax are carefully applied to treat and protect both wood and metal.

Private Viewings

We are soon to open a new FUGA RUSTIC space, situated at the Palais des Vaches Gallery in Exbury, Hampshire.

Here is where all are welcome to explore various examples of our furniture & lighting.

The separate FUGA Studio is reserved for prospective clients wishing to view a specific piece prior to purchase, or to discuss a bespoke commission. These private appointments offer the opportunity to meet personally with the designer, allowing ideas to develop into distinctive and finely crafted works.

Mooring access is available at suitable tide times.

Vehicle access instructions and address given upon booking confirmation.

Commissions

Commissioning a piece is always exciting.

  • Get in touch by phone or email to share any ideas you have.

  • We will then contact you to arrange a meeting, where we will work with you to create an initial concept.

  • Once the piece has been designed and agreed upon, a deposit will be taken to begin the work.

  • Throughout the process, photos and videos will be taken for your approval.

  • On completion, and once payment has been processed, delivery will be scheduled within three days.

The delivery service includes installation.
